Question of the day

If you're single, what are your dealbreakers?

If you're not, you have a choice.
  • What were your dealbreakers when you were single?
  • Understanding that you are perfectly happy with your spouse/partner/significant other now, is there anything he or she does that would be a dealbreaker if you started dating someone now?

Heh. I would have said, when I was single, that kids were a deal-breaker (read: if the man didn't want kids, I was out). Then I fell madly in love with man who thinks he doesn't want kids. Oh, the irony. I sometimes think you don't have a say on who you fall in love with. It just happens and it IS and then you adjust and figure things out as the relationship grows deeper. Maybe it will be a deal-breaker, someday, but for now, I'm in it -- with him.

WOW. This was a tough one. And I'm going to tread lightly here, because my wife reads this blog occasionally. Thankfully, she does well in this department.
The dealbreaker: "Must have an understanding of the world around you, of what's going on here in the U.S. and abroad, and have an opinion on it."
I don't have to necessarily agree with your opinions, but be informed.
